Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is hailed the world over as one of the greatest boxers to ever put on a pair of gloves. His ability to move, slip punches and avoid taking damage are a huge part of his incredible success. However, it has been his reluctance to engage or figuratively step into the fire that left many boxing fans with a bad taste in their mouths and no lack of disdain for Mayweather’s fighting style.

Having won nine of his final ten fights by decision, which spanned the last five years of his career, it’s hard to argue that Floyd wasn’t stepping into the ring trying to play a points game instead of bringing the kind of brutal violence for which fans clamor.

But it wasn’t always like that. There was a time when Floyd Money Mayweather was far more aggressive, which lead to 26 of his career victories coming by way of knockout. While Mayweather may have spent a great portion of his career building his record, and scoring sweet knockouts, against overmatched adversaries, it’s worth noting that he was also able to score knockout victories over then undefeated killers Ricky Hatton and Diego Corrales.

The video below takes us through a time that many younger fans of boxing may be too young to recall, showing us the very best of the great Floyd Money Mayweather’s KOs against opponents both known and unknown, some of which entered the ring with half a chance, and other who had no business fighting Mayweather in the first place.
