UFC 256 is looking pretty spectacular

The event on December 12 appears to have three belts on the line, albeit one made up.

UFC 256 will be held on December 12, 2020, in TBD. In the worst year in memory, this one is something to look forward to.

The first announced bout was UFC women's bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes defending the latter belt vs. former Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson. Nunes is the WMMA GOAT, and the fight is solid, even if the women's 145 division doesn't exist.

However, with two more major fight announcements, this one is already don't miss. ESPN reports that UFC president Dana White says a Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz BMF belt rematch is in the works, although bout agreements have not been signed. TMZ reports that the fight is targeted for UFC 256 on Dec. 12; however, ESPN says it could also take place in January.

The pair first fought in the main event of UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden for the inaugural BMF championship. Masvidal won via TKO when ringside physicians stopped the bout after Round 3 due to a facial cut; Diaz bitterly protested the stoppage. Masvidal went on to challenge welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 251 last month on short notice, but came up short. Usman's original opponent, Gilbert Burns, had been removed from the card following a positive test for COVID-19.

TMZ also reports that Usman vs. Burns will also take place at UFC 256.

UFC 254 is also looking spectacular:
UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. interim champ Justin Gaethje
Robert Whittaker vs. Jared Cannonier
Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Yair Rodríguez
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Islam Makhachev
Alexander Volkov vs. Walt Harris

Which one do you like better so far?
