In this amateur MMA fight from Arrows Street Fight/STRELKA, we see the classic grappler vs striker matchup as a Sambo practitioner takes on a boxer but it doesn’t quite play out like a typical grappler vs striker matchup does.

Sambo is, of course, a Russian martial art that focuses on grappling but there are several various styles and some include striking as well in its arsenal such as combat sambo.

As soon as the fight begins, you can tell right away who’s representing which styles as the sambo practitioner wastes no time and immediately goes for the takedown. The boxer, however, shows he has some fight in him and blasts away with some punches even though the sambo dude has his leg.

Now, most of the time, a pure grappler will have an easy time with a pure striker and while the sambo dude ragdolls the boxer for much of this fight, the fact that the boxer is able to hang in there and survive on the ground hints that he may not just be a boxer after all.

Endurance and conditioning are ultimately what prove to be the deciding factor in this one and judging by their physiques, it is quite clear who is in the better shape, regardless of style.

Check out the full fight below to see who comes out on top in this crazy style vs style match, you may very well be surprised.
