Fedor Emelianenko is one of the greatest heavyweights to ever fight MMA. For close to a decade, the Russian dominated the heavyweight division overseas and had very impressive wins over some of the world’s best fighters.
During his time in Pride, Fedor was undefeated and he beat a who’s who of heavyweight fighters, including former UFC heavyweight champion Kevin Randleman.
Randleman was a former Olympic wrestler with devastating speed, power, and technique.
The fight between Fedor and Randleman was one of Fedor’s most famous and proved to the world just how tough of a fighter he was. Shortly into the first round, Randleman got behind Fedor and hit the most perfect version of a suplex that had ever been seen in a mixed martial arts bout. Fedor seemed to land directly on his head and shoulders, but miraculously seemed unphased and moments later ended the bout by submitting Randleman with an kimura.
