10th Planet JJ founder Eddie Bravo recently made a startling Tweet, that followed with a series of explanations.

Bravo explained on his podcast what happened.

“Generally when people teach seminars out of the country generally they just… say they’re here for holiday, said Bravo as transcribed by AJ Camacho for MMALatest. But some countries have super tight immigration.

Over a year ago Bravo ran afoul of Canadian immigration regulations, and was barred from the country for twelve months. Canada allows American citizens to work without a visa as long as they are not in residence, but they have to disclose that that they are doing so to immigration authorities.

Having learned his lesson in Commonwealth member Canada, when he arrived in the UK to begin a seven-seminar tour, Bravo fully disclosed the purpose of his trip.

I decide to show up.. no more lying,” explained Bravo. “I show them my itinerary… They took me right into a detention center in the airport.

Bravo was confined along with several prostitutes and a restrained criminal before he was deported. Ever a positive human being, Bravo views the experience as broadening.

It was good for me,” said Bravo. “I got a tiny little, little taste of what being imprisoned feels like.

In the mean time, Jiu-Jitsu fanatics in the UK will have to wait until Jan of 2015.
