Donald Cowboy Cerrone made quick work of his UFC on Versus 5 opponent, finishing Charles Oliveira in the first round of their meeting.
An overwhelmed Oliveira covered up while laying on his back and had no answer for Cowboy, falling via technical knockout.
Cerrone and Oliveira tested each other on the feet early. Cerrone landed a nice knee to his opponent’s midsection, but a low blow put a halt to action soon after. Cowboy was sharp on the feet from then on out and worked a pretty combination to Oliveira’s breadbasket that put him down. From there, Cerrone stood over Oleveira and rained punches down before referee Mario Yamasaki put a stop to the bout.
The finish came at 3:01of the opening round.
