UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk fights Jessica Andrade in the co-main event of UFC 211 on Saturday night. The UFC flew in top contender Rose Namajunas, and although the league has not promised ‘Thug’ a title shot, the smart money says she’s next.

Champion: Joanna Jedrzejczyk
1 Claudia Gadelha
2 Karolina Kowalkiewicz
3 Jessica Andrade
4 Rose Namajunas
5 Tecia Torres
6 Michelle Waterson
7 Joanne Calderwood
8 Randa Markos
9 Carla Esparza
10 Maryna Moroz

I guess who else is there, really? said Namajunas to reporters following a Thursday workout for fans and media, as transcribed byJohn Morgan for MMAjunkie. You got Claudia and Karolina, but they already fought the champ once before – and Claudia twice, so I don’t know. It just seems fitting.

I see Joanna probably winning. Joanna, I think, is just the better technical and overall complete fighter.

Namajunas was a finalist on TUF 20 in 2014 in a season that crowned the inaugural women’s strawweight champion, but she was submitted by Carla Esparza.

When you think about my age, my experience level in just fighting, itself – those things combined – I wasn’t supposed to really be to the level at which I was at at that age, said Namajunas. Not based on history in other fighters. If I would have won against Carla, I would have been the youngest champ in the UFC ever, beating Jon Jones, and he’s young. I think that right now it means a lot to me to be experienced, not just as a fighter, but as a woman.

Even with my zombie self sometimes, I’m a dangerous motherf***er, I tell you that. But just when I’m mentally right, there’s no one that can beat me.

As Namajunas explained, if not her for the winner of Saturday’s co-main, who?
