Is the Uberization of the MMA industry possible? If so, how is it done?

After 30 years, this sport of MMA has grown into a fully established entertainment machine that attracts millions of fans every month. Despite the fact that the market is relatively new, it now opens windows for new martial arts directions such as freak shows, pop-MMA, fistfights, etc. The trends bring fresh wind into the world of MMA engaging more and more fighters and viewers.

The market provides an opportunity that other professional sports markets can’t offer. Developed enough to fulfill the demand of fans and fighters, yet new enough to give upcoming brands a platform to establish themselves – the market is now more ready than ever for newcomers to enter. Nevertheless, the question of competition remains unanswered: Is there someone who can challenge the industry leaders?

“The founders in the MMA industry have to change the narrative enhancing the entertainment factor to surpass the industry standard or disrupting the market by changing the business model conceptually,” Spartacus MMA founders stated.

As a matter of fact, the Spartacus team has gone the way of disruption. The challenge of the 1-year-old startup is to bring all amateur fighters in MMA to the global stage by leaving out the middle man. How exactly? Directly from your phone!

Using informational technology, Spartacus MMA offers fighters worldwide an opportunity to pick their opponents through the app and match them into a location that is convenient for everyone. Fights take place at both local and international venues, giving gyms equipped with an octagon the opportunity to become a part of Spartacus. All fights are professionally broadcasted and officially tracked.

Whilst most debuting fighters work their way up in the ranking through weekly fights, Spartacus also organizes full-scale championships for the leaders of the rankings board. Ever since the soft launch in March, Spartacus has been organizing events internationally, including countries like Brazil, the Philippines, India, Thailand and the U.S. By the end of the year, Spartacus will host events in a total of 35 countries, which represent the locations where approximately 92 percent of all MMA in the world is concentrated.

Now, what makes Spartacus so attractive to the fighters? Advocating for inclusiveness as a “promotion for everyone,” Spartacus offers direct payout from the app, a non-exclusive contracts system, own broadcasting with engagement with the fans, and much more!

In comparison to other promotions, Spartacus MMA isn’t hunting the superstars but looking to raise them. Everyone can register and kick off their professional career in two clicks.

Those interested in exploring the Spartacus MMA can download it for the iPhone in the App Store or on Android at Google Play.
