Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia is again putting his chin on the line. During the July 1 co-main event of “SlapFIGHT Championship: Nemesis,” the 6-foot-8, 375-pound “Maine-iac” will face “Grizzly,” a 409-pound professional arm wrestler in a top contenders match at super heavyweight.

Sylvia began his slap fighting career in April at SlapFIGHT 25, when he demolished an opponent known as “The Bouncer” using only three slaps. With a win over “Grizzly” on July 1, “The Maine-iac” could earn a shot at the SlapFIGHT super heavyweight championship, held currently by a 6-foot-6 “Neanderthal,” who will be defending during the main event.

Sylvia signed a multi-fight agreement with SlapFIGHT Championship earlier this year and announced immediately that he planned to become the promotion’s super heavyweight champion within one year. After his TKO win in April, Sylvia announced to the viewing audience, “I love this sh-t. This won’t be the last time you’ll see me up here. I’ll tell you that.”

Also on the main card, heavyweight champ “Young James” defends, plus the inaugural lightweight championship and the first three-man championship match in the sport’s history: light heavyweight champion “Okuma 915” defends his title vs. both top contender “Slim Reaper” and former middleweight champion “Monkey Wrench,” with the last man standing leaving when the light heavyweight strap.

This event will be available live via pay-per-view on FITE.

Tickets to the live event at Bob Duncan Center in Arlington, Texas are available at SlapFIGHT.live.
