“UFC 284: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski” took place today at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The main card streamed live on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN, ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.
In the main event, reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev (24-1 MMA, 13-1 UFC) put his title on the line against featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski (25-2 MMA, 12-1 UFC), who had looked to become a simultaneous two-division champion.
Additionally, the co-main event saw Yair Rodriguez (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) and Josh Emmett (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) meet for a vacant interim featherweight title.
