After a phenomenal performance in his first UFC headliner, Tom Aspinall is now sitting among the very top names in the promotion’s heavyweight division.
Aspinall (12-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) submitted Russian veteran Alexander Volkov in the headlining bout of this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 204, and he was rewarded with a move up to No. 6 in the latest edition of the UFC’s official rankings.
Aspinall called for a matchup with No. 3 Tai Tuivasa for his next appearance, though promotion officials have yet to reveal their plans for the English contender.
