After receiving a letter and a gift of snacks from a South Korean fan named Sunny Lee, Conan O’Brien decided to travel to the country to thank her personally.

Upon arrival at the airport Conan found out how much of a following he had in the country after being greeted a mob of fans waiting in anticipation of his arrival. After leaving the airport Conan and his crew would then start exploring the country which featured visiting a South Korean fish market, playing their national e-sport of StarCraft, singing and dancing in a K-Pop Band, acting in a South Korean Soap opera, hosting a show inside of North Korea and of course getting some lessons in their national martial art of Taekwondo.

Visiting the Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, Conan was greeted with a performance by the academy’s black belts who demonstrated various fighting techniques, traditional kata’s and incredible displays of board breaking.

From here Conan then had one hour to learn the Korean martial art from the Team Coach Master Sung. After going through various striking techniques and questioning whether he could make sound effects to enhance his blows, Conan would then find himself having to attempt to break some wooden boards himself to show how much he had learnt.
