Tattoos and mixed martial arts seemingly go hand and hand. It seems like most fighters have one or multiple with a rare exception of tattoo-less fighters (see Joe Lauzon).

Like with any group of tattooed people, some are going to have awesome pieces of art on their body and others maybe didn’t make the best decision on tattoo artist or design.

Let’s take a look at some of the worst tattoos in UFC history.

5) Joe Riggs

Joe ‘Diesel’ Riggs is a long time veteran of mixed martial arts and fought multiple times in the UFC. The nickname is not terrible, but the execution of the tattoo flaunting it across his mid-section seems to have not been though out. It also has a very cartoonish look and feel adding to a lack of symmetry which together doesn’t make it indicative of just how ‘Diesel’ Joe Riggs actually is.

4) Conor McGregor

Although the tattoo is not terrible, the decision to center a tattoo around your belly button is an interesting choice for a man. Add to that it makes it look like the tiger has a butt-hole in the middle of the nose and you’ve got your reason to make this list.

3) War Machine

Jon Koppenhaver is infamous in mixed martial arts mostly for his series of unfortunate events. His legal name is now ‘War Machine’ he is currently incarcerated and has the last time name of his former porn star girlfriend tattooed across the front of his neck.

2) Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was the WWE champion turned UFC heavyweight champion and also one of the most feared men to ever fight in the Octagon. That however, doesn’t change the fact that he has a sword tattoo on his chest that resembles a phallus. Pay particular attention to the shape of the top of the sword.

1) Alan Belcher

Former UFC middleweight Alan ‘The Talent’ Belcher’ kind of made his list an unfair contest for anyone else for anyone else to win. His tribute tattoo to legendary signer Johhny Cash was just an all-time fail. Although not a terrible idea, it is clear that he chose an artist not known for life-like tattoos and the result was just a cartoonish figure with a slight resemblance to the great singer.
