Miesha Tate better be careful of Holly Holm’s left high kick of doom.
Tate is set to challenge Holm for the UFC’s Women’s Bantamweight strap at UFC 196 which takes place on March 5 in Las Vegas.
Tate, a fan favorite and perennial contender in the UFC’s Women’s bantamweight division, will have her hands full in taking on Holly Holm, who is coming off a huge upset victory against UFC superstar and icon Ronda Rousey.

Holm became champion by pulling off a near flawless peformance against then-champion Rousey.
Battered on the feet, Rousey’s striking skills proved to be no match for Holm’s footwork and life-long boxing skills and footwork acumen. The finishing blow came in the second round in the form of an amazing left high kick that came crashing on Rousey’s jaw, sending her face-first unconscious on the canvas.
That kick, referred among MMA enthusiasts as ‘the kick heard around the world’, sure was crazy.
Want to know what is even crazier though?
Holly Holm actually delivered the same exact kick and finish on a previous opponent, as you can see in the video below:

World-class footwork? Check! Powerful, accurate left high kick to the jaw? Check! Knee on belly and hammerfists to seal the deal? Check!
Poor Allanna Jones felt for the same trap as Rousey, resulting in a brutal KO.
The question now is: will Holly Holm once again bring the left kick of doom into her championship bout with Miesha Tate at UFC 196?
You betcha she has the skills to do so, and it wouldn’t suprise me if her whole gameplan will be designed to make Tate become another victim of her laser-accurate left high kick.
Miesha Tate is always game though, and I can’t wait to see such great fighters go at it for the championship belt on March 5, as you should too!
