The UFC 267 weigh-ins earlier today in Abu Dhabi saw one fighter miss weight by nearly eight pounds, promotion golden boy Khamzat Chimaev need multiple attempts to make the limit, and a Jiri Prochazka citing.

This morning on “Fight Island,” the 30 fighters on the 15 bout card took to the scales to make their matchups on Oct. 30 official, and it was an eventful day.

First, the good news. The event’s headliner light heavyweight title bout pitting champion Jan Blachowicz versus Glover Teixeira is official for tomorrow afternoon. As well as the co-main event bantamweight interim title clash between former titleholder Petr Yan and replacement challenger Cory Sandhagen.

Now, the bad news. Lightweight Damir Ismagulov weighed in at 163.5 pounds. Almost eight pounds above the 156 pound non-title grace limit for his bout with Magomed Mustafaev. Because of this, there will be no fight purse penalty or catchweights, and the fight has been canceled.

In other not-good news, welterweight fighter Chimaev needed multiple attempts — including some questionable towel leaning — to finally make the weight for his weltweight bout with Li Jingliang on the event’s main card. You can watch footage of his attempts in the video below.

Likely next 205-pound contender Prochazka also weighed in, and his the mark, in his role a back up option for the night’s main event.

UFC 267 kicks off at 10:30 am ET on ESPN with the preliminary portion of the card. The US $69.99 main card pay-per-view begins at 2 pm ET and airs exclusively on ESPN+.
