UFC 267 is the UFC’s pay-per-view offering and the event features light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz defending his title against Brazilian veteran Glover Teixeira. In addition, the card includes several pivotal matchups in women’s flyweight, and men’s welterweight, and heavyweight.

Blachowicz vs Teixeira headlines UFC 267

Poland’s Blachowicz, 38, will look to defend his title for the second time in the main event. Coming off a victory against UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the latter’s bid for a second title, Blachowicz has won nine of his last 10.

Teixeira, 43, has had a remarkable late-career push with five straight wins to his credit. A terrific grappler with a penchant for come-from-behind victories, Teixeira will look to finally realize his title aspirations in the main event of UFC 267.

UFC 267 undercard offers up key divisional scraps

Elsewhere on the main card, ranked strawweights will face off as the popular Amanda Ribas takes on submission specialist Virna Jandiroba. Though coming off her first UFC loss, Ribas will look to make a statement against Jandiroba, who has won three of her last four in the Octagon.

Breakout star Islam Makhachev will look to further make his case for a lightweight title opportunity against former UFC champion Rafael dos Anjos in a fight whose build-up has been largely contested through trash talk on social media. Makhachev hasn’t lost since 2015, while dos Anjos will look to make it 2-0 since returning to his weight class from welterweight.

The matchup is still in question after it was reported that the former lightweight champion recently had knee surgery. There should be more clarity on if he will be able to compete in the next week.

Top 10 heavyweight contenders are set to throw down on the main card as well when Russia’s Alexander Volkov will face Poland’s Marcin Tybura to round out the pay-per-view portion of the event. Volkov is coming off a loss to interim champion Ciryl Gane, while Tybura has won five straight.

UFC 267 prelim features

The preliminary card boasts impressive names and prospects to watch, as well.

Fan-favorites Walt Harris and Tai Tuivasa will square off at heavyweight, light heavyweight standouts Volkan Oezdemir and Magomed Ankalaev will clash in a fight with rankings implications, and recent Dana White’s Contender Series winner Albert Duraev will make his Octagon debut against Italy’s Alessio Di Chirico.

The event also features the long-awaited return of 2020 breakout star Khamzat Chimaev, who fought and won three times by dominant stoppage within the span of two months before suffering a difficult bout with COVID-19. He will fight surging Chinese talent Li Jingliang in a bout that could push either man much closer into title contention.
