Douglas Silva de Andrade only needed two minutes to dispatch Gaetano Pirrello at UFC Vegas 38.
With a little over three minutes left in the opening round of their bantamweight bout on the preliminary portion of the card, Belgium’s Pirrelo threw a body kick to his Brazilian opponent. In a rapid counterattack to that strike, “D’Silva” unleashed a quick check left hook that hit the target on the sweet spot and immediately floored his foe.

Some ground-and-pound shots followed the knockdown, however, they did very little to decide the fight. Instead, they were the blows that forced the referee to jump in and stop the fight at 2:56 in the opponent round of the bout. The KO is the twentieth in 27 wins for the 36-year-old.
The victory was a bounce-back win for de Andrade following a January unanimous decision loss to Lerone Murphy. He has alternated wins and losses in his last seven fights, dating back to 2016.
Gaetano how now been finished in both of his UFC Octagon appearances, after winning two straight before his promotional debut in January.
