At UFC Vegas 41, lightweight Jai Hebert bounced back from two straight losses in a big way by running through opponent Khama Worthy on the event’s prelims.
Over the first couple of minutes of their matchup, Herbert and Worthy tested the waters of each other’s abilities and looked to find the range from which to unleash their own attacks. Not much of consequence happened in that time, but that all changed when England’s Herbert threw a head kick that seemed to get his opponent’s attention despite being partially blocked.

“The Black Country Banger” followed that up with an uppercut that legitimately stunned Worthy. From there the American was forced into survival mode. As he took a battering from the 33-year-old and could not find a space to separate or land a counter shot of his own.
Eventually, a left hook from Herbert floored “The Death Star,” some nasty ground-and-pound followed and it forced the referee to jump in and stop that fight at 2:13 of the opening round.
The victory is his first in the UFC and it ended a two-fight losing streaking for Herbert, where he was finished in both losses.
Worthy has now lost three straight. All of them in the first round. This follows back-to-back wins to open his UFC career.
