Bodybuilding can be a fun hobby and many men go through bodybuilding phases, usually in their younger years. Many people fail to realize though that not only does bodybuilding not make you a good fighter, but it simply is not an ideal physique to have when it comes to fighting.
Granted there are some exceptions to the rule as there always are. UFC fighters like Yoel Romero or Brock Lensnar come to mind as having a bodybuilder type physique. Granted those guys are athletic freaks that would probably look like that even without hitting the weights.
Another problem with the blown up bodybuilder physique is more muscles require more oxygen so you are more likely to tire quicker. However, in this YouTube video involving a bodybuilder taking on a boxer it doesn’t go long enough for that to be a factor.

According to the translated video description “Another example of jocks that challenges higher teacher martial arts.” So it seems like the bodybuilder thought he was tough and wanted to see how he could do against a guy with legitimate skill. It could have started out friendly but usually challenging someone of a higher skill is seen as disrespectful in many martial arts circles.
Now the bodybuilder could have had some training. He at least knows how to keep his hands up and chin down. His hands may be a little too high though which leaves his midsection unprotected. He is also very stiff with his movement while the boxer is very smooth and confident.

We see the boxer land that liver shot several times yet the bodybuilder does not do anything to defend against it. That proves to be his undoing as the boxer lands another brutal liver shot two minutes in that puts the bodybuilder down for good. The sound he made when he went down says it all.
