Just because someone doesn’t want to fight doesn’t mean that they can’t throw down when they’re left with no other alternative, as this school bully learned the hard way.

The video footage begins with an all too familiar scenario already unfolding as the dark-haired teenager in the gray and black t-shirt tries to start a fight with a baseball cap wearing youth, who repeatedly makes it clear he doesn’t want to.

The bully shoves the kid several times, eventually backing him into a corner as other onlookers make no effort to intervene, and instead appear to be encouraging the two to fight.

What the f*ck man, just go away, the harassed kid says, but with the bully showing no sign of taking his advice he’s left with no option but to take off his backpack and prepare to defend himself.

There’s a standoff for a few tense moments and then the bully finally throws the first punch, hitting his victim in the stomach.

An exchange of punches follows and it’s the victim who connects flush with a right hook to the face that drops the bully flat on his back.

Still dazed, the bully tries to right himself, only to be clocked by another right hook to make sure he stays down.

Some of the bystanders then take offense at the fact that the victim hit his attacker while he was down, and that leads to a brief scuffle with another youth that quickly dies down.

Perhaps if those bystanders had shown the same level of enthusiasm for fair play a little earlier then they could have stopped the bully from harassing the youth in the first place, but instead they were too busy yelling at them to fight.

We’d certainly recommend anyone in a similar situation to stop fighting as soon as you possibly can, but in general the bullied kid did the right thing by trying his best not to get involved in the altercation in the first place, and then quickly putting the troublemaker in his place after he was forced to defend himself.
